BESTSEA was founded in 2005. For more than ten years, we have been committed to researching and improving the manufacturing technology of glasses to provide customers with better products and services, such as our recent research of one-piece acetate inflatable glasses, and acetate sunglasses with three-dimensional pressing technology. At the same time, we pay close attention to the eyewear accessories. The lens is the most important accessory for glasses, so we also pay special attention to the technology and development of the lens and closely cooperate with the lens factory, the perfect frame can't be separated from the perfect lens.
Below is a pair of
inflated sunglasses made from acetate using an innovative glasses manufacturing process.
After decades of development, the lens manufacturing process has become very mature, and it is now difficult to make more or greater breakthroughs in technology. Most lens factories can only deepen their efforts based on existing technology, striving to meet customer needs in terms of quality. Here, we introduce a strategic partner with us, a very special lens factory. They are rooted in the high-end glasses production base in Shenzhen, and the perfect matching of the high-quality supply chain makes it easier for them to obtain high-quality raw materials and high-end R&D talents. Over the years, they have continuously increased research and development, exploring ways to break through lens technology.
The three-dimensional acetate
bevel sunglasses below use innovative CSPL polarized lenses.
This factory is called Crystal-Star(Optical Materials)Tech.Co., Ltd., located in Yasen Industrial Zone, Longgang District, Shenzhen, with an area of over 8000 square meters. It has various advanced lens manufacturing equipment and high-end testing equipment. Produce high-quality lenses such as nylon lenses, PC lenses, TAC, TR18, Tritan Renew/Tritan Renew POL recyclable and environmentally friendly. After 5 years of continuous research, Crystal-Star has developed the world's lightest and thinest PC polarized lens, referred to as CSPL, which is subversive to the current polarized lens market!
The picture below shows the production workshop of the Crystal-Star Lens Factory.
Below is the lens test room of Crystal-Star Lens Factory.
The following images show the cut CSPL.
Why is it disruptive? It is very similar to polarized TAC, here we do a comprehensive comparison with polarized CR39, polarized nylon, polarized TAC, and polarized PC, letting us feel this so-called subversive technology of CSPL lenses. Compared with these different types of lenses, it mainly has the following advantages:
1. Compared with TAC, CSPL has good stability, better light transmittance, doesn't easily absorb water, doesn't easily layer, when under high temperature, doesn't easily change color, not easily lose polarized function.
2. Compared with PCPL/Nylon PL, CSPL is ultra-light, ultra-thin, completely stress-free, the thickness can be 1.0, and it can pass the drop ball test
3. The optical performance of CSPL is superior to TAC, with high clarity, better prismatic degree, lower cost, and a price close to TAC;
4. CSPL is suitable for all finished frames, including acetate frames, metal frames, injection frames, etc.
To test stability, a constant temperature boiling water test was conducted. The following are the stability tests for TAC, PC, and CSPL.
To test the stability of CSPL lenses, Crystal-Star factory provided a set of test comparison data.TAC started layering in about three hours at a constant temperature of 80℃. The injection polarized PC started layering after about 15 hours, while CSPL has been tested for 24 hours without any issues.
The following picture shows the boiling water test of polarized TAC. Under the constant temperature of 80℃ for three hours, it can be seen that the edge of the lens has been significantly layering.
Below is the boiling water test of PC polarized. Under the constant temperature of 80℃ for three hours, it can be seen that the edge of the lens has been significantly layering.
Below is the boiling water test of CSPL. There is no phenomenon in 24 hours under the constant temperature of 80℃. So it's not easy to delamination. This is significantly better than polarized TAC and polarized PC, and the stability is comparable to CR39 and polarized nylon lens.
Stress comparison tests show that CSPL bonded lenses are completely stress-free.
We know that whether it is polarized CR39, polarized PC, or polarized nylon when installed in glasses, there will be more or less stress, resulting in uneven color, which may seriously affect people's vision.
The following figure shows that when polarized PC and CSPL are placed on the stress meter, polarized PC is significantly stressed, while CSPL is completely unstressed. When installed on a frame, the CSPL maintains this perfect stress-free effect.
CSPL has cost advantages. Compare the cost of CSPL with other polarized materials:
It is slightly more expensive than TAC, only half the cost of polarized PC, a quarter of polarized CR39, and a fifth of polarized nylon.
Since CSPL has so many advantages, what about other aspects? According to the engineers at Crystal-Star, there's nothing to worry about, it's just like any other lens. They told us that other lenses can do the effect, CSPL can do.
1. Anti UA /UV function.
2. The surface can be coated, REVO color film, strengthening, imitation water, oil resistance, and other effects.
The picture below shows CSPL in different colors and sizes.
In addition, CSPL is the same as polarized TAC and has the advantage of cost customization.
You can customize the lens size according to the size of different styles of glasses frames, which can maximize cost savings. For example, if the frame size is relatively small, you can customize the lens size to be smaller. If the frame size is larger, you can customize the lens size to be larger. No matter how many frame sizes you have, you can customize them separately, which greatly saves costs. Unlike CR39, PC, and nylon, their molds are fixed and often only a few sizes are available.
After testing, CSPL can be used in a variety of materials on the frame, including injection molded frames, acetate frames, metal frames, buffalo horn frames, wood frames, etc. To our knowledge, they are superior to TAC lenses in this regard, and factory technicians do not recommend using TAC lenses on acetate frames.
TAC Sun lenses have long been popular among domestic and foreign consumers due to their lightweight, acid and alkali resistant, and high cost-effectiveness. However, they have also become a concern for customers due to their easy layering, deformation, and poor temperature resistance. We can imagine encountering the following awkward scenes in our daily life when using TAC sunglasses: the sunglasses accidentally become delamination after being exposed to rain or water; In summer, when sunglasses are placed in the car, the high temperature causes the lenses to change color, deform, and the polarization effect to weaken or even disappear. CSPL can maintain the advantages of TAC's lightweight and high cost-effectiveness, while perfectly avoiding the drawbacks of TAC Sun lenses.
During our cooperation with Crystal-Star Lens Factory, we witnessed their continuous growth from a small factory. We also attach great importance to our cooperation because our persistent pursuit of product development and improvement, as well as high quality, is consistent. Good glasses cannot do without good lenses!
